They open the floodgates of pesticides … And are relentless against those who respect nature!

We must act quickly to save this natural alternative to pesticides, fought by lobbies!

Dear friends of the Natural,

Has the Minister for Pesticides Knocked Again?

This is how we nicknamed Didier Guillaume in the corridors of the National Assembly.

He is not widely known to the general public, but he was unmasked very quickly.

From his first day as Minister of Agriculture.

Because his first intervention in the media was … to question the “harmfulness of pesticides” !!! (1) (2).

As if we could still doubt today their dangerousness.

We think we are dreaming.

The problem is that since then, he has succeeded in advancing his ideas to the heart of the Government and up to the Elysee …

And coincidence … President Macron’s promise to get out of glyphosate in 2021 was barely buried a few months after his appointment (3).

But it gets worse.

It seems that he does everything to discourage those who use real NATURAL alternatives, good for health and the planet!

We can dump tons of glyphosate…

with nettle liquid, it’s much more risky!

This is what is happening with a very promising natural alternative.

This plant-based fertilizer could replace pesticides, but the authorities are sanctioning those who use it!

I know it seems hard to believe.

However, a few months ago, agents from the prefecture made a “descent” into the Botanic garden centers of Saint-Etienne (Loire) and Villeneuve-lès-Avignon (Gard).

They weren’t looking for drugs.
They weren’t looking for substances not declared to customs,
They weren’t looking for fakes.

These officials were sent to prevent the sale of… nettle manure (4).

A wonder of nature: a 100% ORGANIC “anti-pest” fertilizer

Nettle manure is 100% natural and helps avoid health-threatening pesticides like glyphosate.

Very rich in nitrogen, iron and potassium, it promotes growth, like a natural fertilizer;
it strengthens the natural defenses of plants against diseases;
it also helps ward off attacks from aphids and pests
some manure is even excellent against slugs.

This preparation contains only nettles … and water!

It’s natural, ecological, renewable … and it doesn’t cost much!

His big fault? It costs nothing! (so do nothing for the giants of agro-chemistry)

You can even make these fertilizers with plants other than nettle, such as horsetail or comfrey.

In total, these are widely used and appreciated natural preparations:

by all gardeners who do not want to water their vegetable patch or their roses with pesticides or chemicals;
by producers of “organic” fruits and vegetables (5);
and everyone trying to stop the “chemical tsunami” created by today’s intensive agriculture.

It’s a great 100% organic and natural alternative!

And yet, in 2006, on the sly, the lobbies succeeded in a masterful move: to classify the nettle manure as a “phytopharmaceutical” product.

This means that this natural fertilizer is classified in the same category as … glyphosate!!

Since then, a legal vagueness still surrounds these preparations: they had to be authorized by the EGALIM law at the end of 2018 … but the senators blocked the amendments which went in this direction.

Result: this gives the authorities the possibility of fighting organic gardeners and peasants who use this natural alternative (6).

Are we walking on our heads?

We let the dangerous chemical pesticides do it… and attack those who try to do otherwise.

This is why it seems fundamental today to defend this effective and safe natural alternative.

I therefore invite you to sign this national petition now to STOP chemical pesticides and defend natural practices in agriculture and gardening.

Because at the top of the state, there are some who really hate natural and ecological alternatives!

The Minister of Agriculture: “The rhubarb leaves are so toxic that they kill the life of the compost”!!!

Here is an extract from the debate in the Senate, and this sentence is signed Stéphane Travert, the prime minister of agriculture of Emmanuel Macron.

“The squash, if consumed too much, causes the hair to fall out. Rhubarb leaves are so toxic that they kill the life of the compost.” (7)

Really ???

And glyphosate, if consumed too much …

– does it regrow hair?

– does it stimulate the immune system?

Because during this time, glyphosate continues to ravage our soils, our fruits and our vegetables.

You’ll see that we’re in a totally AWESOME situation.

On the one hand, organic farmers and Sunday gardeners are prevented from using “natural products”, and on the other …

… We bombard with pesticides and chemicals

The latest figures were revealed by Le Monde on January 9: between 2017 and 2018 the use of pesticides in agriculture increased by 24% !! (8)

Even the Minister of the Environment, Elisabeth Borne recognizes this huge failure:

“We have to face the facts: the policy implemented for over ten years now is not producing the hoped-for results in the agricultural sector. This should lead us to thoroughly re-examine this policy.”

And it is not the new decree on “buffer zones” that will change the situation. Depending on the type of crop, it provides only 3, 5 and 10 meters between homes and fields sprayed with pesticides!

A ridiculous distance, which absolutely does not protect populations.

Several elected officials have asked for the establishment of 150-meter “buffer zones” (9).

Because (apart from the Minister of Agriculture), everyone knows that these chemical pesticides are one of the worst threats today:

They cause not only irreparable damage to the environment, but also to health.

DOUBT is no longer allowed today:

According to a large INSERM expert report published in 2012, pesticides are suspected of being involved in a large number of cancers but also in:

Alzheimer’s disease, which affects more and more seniors;
The non-fertility of thousands of young adults;
And even congenital malformation!

When we talk about “congenital malformation”, it means that a baby can be born without legs and arms !!

And don’t think you’re safe, even if you eat “organic”:

According to the France Nature Environment association (10), 92% of the French rivers monitored are polluted with pesticides;
950,000 citizens were supplied in 2015 with water presenting “recurrent exceedances of the quality limits vis-à-vis pesticides without requiring a restriction of use”;
80 different pesticides were found by EFSA on a sample of fruit sold (peaches) in Europe – and even 84 on a sample of strawberries;

That is why we must do everything to encourage all natural alternatives to pesticides and remove all obstacles to the use of products such as nettle manure.

And the worst part is that it’s the same for all natural alternatives …

… including essential oils!

It’s very simple :

As soon as we touch on an alternative to chemistry, we come up against very powerful interests

Here is what happened to an artisan from the Oise who sold mixtures of essential oils to “organic” farmers in his region (11).

One morning, agents from the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations (DDPP), a state service, disembark for a check.

He is accused of not having “marketing authorization” for his products and of indicating on the packaging unauthorized “claims”.

Subject to a fine of 300,000 euros, and 2 years in prison, he finally threw in the towel and ceased his activity.

Once again, it’s the defeat of natural, local and environmentally friendly products… and the victory of chemistry.

Because THEY don’t stop at anything.

INCREDIBLE: a “military cell” has just been launched to defend agribusiness

The interior ministry has even created a special brigade to defend Monsanto’s allies:

It is the “Demeter cell” specializing in “damage to the agricultural world” (12).

Its mission is to “fight against agribashing” (in reality: fight against anti-pesticide actions) … and even to track down “actions of an ideological nature” (in reality: “actions to raise awareness of organic farming” ).

You understand, the message is clear: do not touch pesticides and industrial agriculture.

Ladies and gentlemen:

Never has it been more important to defend other agricultural methods to protect our health, that of our children and our planet.

Help me to alert the population and make the government “move”.

We must act quickly.
