OPTIMIST OR PESSIMIST?
I am often asked whether I am optimistic or pessimistic in the face of humanity’s most serious challenges. What is my answer?
- When I know the multiple solutions already tried that exist today to solve environmental problems … I am optimistic
- When I look at the work of awakening the population that courageously and determinedly carry out the “alert launchers” … I am optimistic
- When I look at the growing citizen involvement that is developed to take care of our “common home”, Earth … I am optimistic
- When I find that certain political activists and certain mayors make decisions that serve the common good of their fellow citizens, and without electoral intentions … I am optimistic
- Despite the absurdities, love never dies … I am optimistic
- When I observe the slowness of most leaders at all levels of society in implementing the environmental solutions necessary for the good of all … I am pessimistic
- When we hear opinion leaders, social communication animators (written, spoken, televised …) or heads of polluting companies or industries deny the absolutely obvious environmental aggressions … I am pessimistic
- When I read the news announcing the weddings of the big money powers
- Big food, the giants of the agrifood industry
- Big agro, the champions of industrial agriculture
- Big chemical, the monsters of the polluting chemical industry
- Big pharma, the unethical colossuses of the pharmaceutical industry
… I am pessimistic
This issue of the marriage of the powers of money (visible or hidden) is a taboo among public leaders in power, in the media, and the gravity of the planetary situation is accentuated and eternalized and accentuated in general indifference.
The reality is serious. It is the reality described (in anticipation) in Gunter Schwab’s work “The works of the devil”, published in the form of three books “The kitchen of the devil” (1963), “The dance with the devil” (1964), and “The last letters of the devil” (1968). Books hidden by two generations of chloroformed citizens. These books are precious for the clarification they offer on the situation in the world in 2020, with the devil being a businessman who heads the Ministry of … Extermination.
The decision-making circle of international financiers follows an imperturbable logic: making consumers “docile”, even “blind”, “contaminated by the greed of consumption” of all types of products (even useless or harmful) for an illusory well-being.
For our survival, for the future of our children and grandchildren, we need a healthy planet.
PESSIMISM OF REASON OBLIGATES US TO THE OPTIMISM OF DETERMINATION
This is a bit of an analysis of my environmental action to resolve the gravity of the planet’s situation.
